    Kim Nguyen, Ed.D.

    Founder and Principal

Advocating for her fellow human beings and giving a voice to the underrepresented have always been important to Kim. She’s demonstrated this from her first job out of college when she worked as a fundraiser for the Women’s Center of San Joaquin County. She led the work in developing and articulating Kaiser Permanente’s position on the importance of eliminating health disparities. And during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, she launched the San Antonio chapter of Frontline Foods, which helped restaurant workers and fed essential workers. In 2021, she established Silver Scaffold to advocate for older adults.

Kim discovered her passion for closing the digital divide for older adults when she conducted a doctoral research study as a student at the University of Southern California. Her beloved mother was the inspiration for the study.

She is a Progressive Policy Institute Mosaic Fellow and a member of the third cohort of the American Society on Aging RISE fellow program. You can contact her at kim@silverscaffold.com.
